Here are a few tips that I hope you find useful. Do you find many recipes that call for cooking something in butter? When you melt the butter in the pan does it turns brown or even burn? Try adding a little vegetable to the pan with the butter to slow down the process. The flavor will not change and the oil will slow down the browning. Are you cutting down on salt but still want the salty flavor? Add some fresh lemon juice to your food. Hard marshmallows are not worth a dime! My Grandmother's favorite expression when something was worthless. Next time your bag of marshmallows get too hard to use, put them in a zip lock bag with a fresh slice of bread and let them sit for 3 days. The moisture will absorb into them and you will now have softened marshmallows. And finally, we have sent the cook book manuscript to the publisher and hope to have it available to sell by June 1st. Thanks to all of you who sent in recipes and check our web site more updates on the book's release.
Have a question...email me and I will send you a reply and will post some of these in the Tip of the Week!
