Spicy Apple Chutney

Yields 4 cups

1 T Vegetable oil
2 cups Chopped onion
1T Chef Johnny's Pie Spice
1/4 teaspoon Ground cumin
1/8 teaspoon Ground red pepper
5 Cups Gala apples, peeled, cored and diced
1 Cup Dried Cranberries
1/2 Cup Golden raisins
1/2 Cup Packed brown sugar, light
1/4 Cup Apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon Minced and peeled fresh ginger
1 T Chef Johnny's Apple Butter Rub

Heat a heavy-duty skillet and add the oil, onion, Pie Spice, cumin and red pepper. Sautee for about 5 minutes. Add the apple and the remaining ingredients. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.

Serve warm over roast pork or as a condiment. Jacki & I love this one!!
