PEANUT BUTTER BARS              Chef Johnny

 

1-pound confectioners' sugar

1/2 pound butter

1-teaspoon vanilla

8 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips

1-cup peanut butter

 

STOVE TOP:  Slowly melt butter in a heavy-duty non-reactive saucepan, peanut butter and vanilla in a heavy pan.  Remove from heat and add powdered sugar mixing thoroughly.  Spread in 9" by 13" pan.  Melt chocolate dips, and spread over top.  Refrigerate until hard.  Bring to room temperature to cut.

 

MICROWAVE:  Melt butter, peanut butter and vanilla in microwave on 1/2 power, stirring periodically.  Melt chocolate in microwave on 1/2 power for 2 minutes, stirring once.
